WUFFSTOCK GENERAL EVENT RULES
*All dogs must be controlled and on a leash at all times except when they are racing.
*Children must be supervised around dogs at all times.
*Please pick up all poopies and dispose.
*All dogs in attendance must be current on all vaccinations. Owners of Dogs participating in races and events will need to show the veterinary shot records at the registration booth. We need to see them but do not need copies.
*The sale, or advertisement of sale, of any animals is prohibited.
* Rescue groups are permitted to do same day adoptions at the event.
*Alcohol and illegal drugs are not permitted on the premises.
*This is a family-friendly event. Inappropriate language or behavior is not permitted.
* No gambling on races.
* Smoking is permitted only in designated areas.
* Any dog demonstrating aggressive behavior to another dog or person will be asked to leave the event.
* Any person demonstrating aggressive behavior to another person or dog will be asked to leave the event.
DOXIE DERBY
Lights used during the races may only be used to accommodate a disability with either the handler or the dog.
There will be multiple races to keep you cheering and laughing! General races are open to all breeds or mixes not more than 14” at the shoulders. The Special Needs race is open to pups with any kind of disability and benefits Skippy J. Fund. The Dachshund Races are the highlight of the day! The long and the low can be very fast! RACE DAY RULES
*All Dogs need to be registered prior to participating in the events on site the morning of the event at the Darby Pavilion.
*All dogs must be checked in at the registration booth and receive a race day ID or they will not be acknowledged as registered and therefore will not be allowed to participate in the raced or events.
* All owners of participating dogs must sign a release of liability form or their dog will not be allowed to participate
* Your dog’s name will be called a maximum of 2 times for his or her heat or event. If your dog does not show on the second call, he or she will forfeit the race and your registration fee will not be reimbursed.
* You may not throw balls to encourage your Doxie to run faster. You can bounce a ball or have another toy at the finish line to encourage him or her to run to you. You may not use food or dog treats for this purpose.
* No laser lights can be used by handlers or guests.
* All judges’ rulings are final.
* You do not need registration papers in order for your dog to race as a purebred Doxie. If there is a concern, the onsite vet will evaluate your dog and make a determination regarding breeding. The vet’s decision will be final.
* If a Doxie is injured before a race starts or during the race The race will be stopped and the Doxie will be checked out by the veterinarian or veterinarian technician
WUFFSTOCK 5K FUN RUN/WALK
Grab your sneakers and your best friend (furry or not) and join the cause! Chips will be provided for 5K runners. The quickest runner (FIRST RUNNER TO CROSS THE FINISH LINE) will receive a $20.00 gas card for the best time. There are awards for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place race winners. Registration fee is $30.00 and includes a WuffStock 5k T-Shirt with our awesome WuffStock logo, bottled water and the satisfaction that you have made the difference in the life of a deserving animal.Although, we encourage you to challenge yourself to achieve your personal best this is intended to be a fun run ~ please know that there will be runners/walkers of all levels. (T-Shirts not guaranteed unless -runners are pre-registered by Feb 16, 2021The 5k Fun Run/Walk is just one of the featured events in WufffStock – A Celebration of Dogs.

RUNNING WITH A DOG.
If you are running/walking with a dog, by registering you agree to abide by these terms:
Limit one dog per person. Dogs must be at least 4 months old (unless in a stroller or back pack) and up to date on vaccinations.
· Only bring dogs that are well-behaved around other dogs and people.
· Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
· Leashes should be no longer than 6 feet; please keep it short at the start to avoid entanglement.
· No retractable leashes - these may be hazardous in a crowd.
· No dogs in heat.
· Clean up after your dog.
· Runners with dogs should begin the race toward the rear of the running pack so as not to interfere with the other race participants that are not running with dogs.
Covenant Pet Trust race volunteers reserve the right to stop any runner and his/her dog if a dog appears to be in danger or, in the opinion of volunteers, is being pushed beyond his or her safe limits. No refunds will be given at this event.
Registration at the event is offered beginning at 7:30am no later than 7:45am on the day of the event. However, a custom race T-Shirt is not guaranteed with registration after February 17, 2020.
PACKET PICK UP
Saturday Feburary 27nd between 7:00am & 7:30am at the Darby Pavilion. Race begins promptly at 8:00
AWARDS
1st, 2nd & 3rd place ribbons will be awarded. A $20.00 gas card will be awarded to the runner with the best time.

Covenant Pet Trust race volunteers reserve the right to remove participants and his/her dog if a dog appears to be in danger or, in the opinion of volunteers, is being pushed beyond his or her safe limits.
